ELITE CAMPUS-LLORET 2021
Bàsquet Lloret and Elite Basketball Academy join forces to create the first high-performance campus.
The main focus will be on deepening the players' individual technical and tactical skills.
The work methodology consisted of small groups to give maximum attention to the player in the competition being worked on.
Basics for self-training, injury prevention, and physical improvement were also provided.
Competitive activities were held in the afternoons.
The players were also trained in NCAA regulations and issues.
This campus was designed for high-performance players from the 2006, 2005, and 2004 generations.
EASTER WEEK TECHNOLOGIES
During Holy Week, Monday the 29th, Tuesday the 30th, and Wednesday the 31st, positional improvement work was carried out. Guards, forwards, and centers spent 2 hours and 30 minutes training based on operational skills (linking individual technique to tactical situations) to improve their game.

Forwards: Step frequency during penetration (dribble on the 3rd step toward the basket). Options for step and dribble directions. Balance during shooting.
Pivots: Set the pivot foot closest to the baseline. Balance in shooting. Shooting line.
During the last week of August, we were able to enjoy the visit of the UNBC Timberwolves college basketball team from the University of Northern British Columbia (Canada). During these days, the team trained at the Juan Carlos Navarro Pavilion and played two friendlies against the Barça CBS women's junior team and a Catalan team. The players also had the opportunity to explore the city of Barcelona, where they were able to stroll through the streets of the old Gothic Quarter, visit Park Güell, and travel to the majestic Montserrat mountain. The team is currently working hard to kick off its competition. A competition in which our player Laura Garmendia will make her debut. After completing her junior career as a player for Femení Sant Adrià, she has committed to the university to combine her studies in Biomedicine with basketball training and games with the team.
From August 11th to 16th, Elite Sports Academy participated in the American university tournament held in Valencia. A team of players from different parts of the country, including some ESA players, trained and played against three major American NCAA D1 universities: Furman, Iowa, and Nevada. It was undoubtedly a very rewarding experience for everyone.
Throughout the summer afternoons, Elite Sports Academy offered technical training to players from different teams to individually improve their specific qualities as basketball players. Up to 100 athletes had the opportunity to work with a high-level coaching team. The sessions were conducted in small groups, focusing on important aspects of both offensive and defensive play. This allowed the athletes to work individually and collectively to improve, while also providing them with specific and personalized training. Additionally, each week, the players received informative talks on key aspects of basketball. Injury prevention, nutrition, and the player's psychological state are some of the examples.
During the summer vacation period, Elite Sports Academy collaborated with the Barça CBS campus. The sessions included six long weeks of training, during which top coaches conducted various training sessions with players aged between 6 and 16. The on-court training was also combined with daily time in the pool. The players also enjoyed weekly excursions, such as those to the Port Aventura and Tibidabo amusement parks, as well as a visit to the FC Barcelona Tour Experience museum. The sessions were accompanied by visits from prestigious coaches and players with highly recognized sporting careers.
Last October, Elite Sports Academy reached an agreement with Next MVP Badalona to take advantage of the fantastic facilities and strive for excellence in our players. Since then, the use of these facilities has allowed for highly personalized technical training with a small group of players.
The grand Showcase was held on February 3rd, 2019, a match between two teams of U17 and U18 players from different renowned teams (Femení Sant Adrià, Barça CBS, Basket Almeda, UE Mataró, etc.). The match was also officiated by coaches with highly recognized sporting careers. Several American coaches visited the exhibition match, allowing them to enjoy the great talent and skills of our players. We would like to thank the players and coaches for their dedication, the families and clubs for their warm welcome and support, and finally, all those who made this great event possible (photographers, physiotherapists, referees, volunteers, etc.).
